Preface for the 4th edition
Volume 3 part 2 was fundamentally revised with regard to structure and content, to provide a practical manual with methods for reliability assurance. The volume was divided into two main sections for this purpose, whereby the first part builds on volume 3 part 1 reliability management, and assigns the reliability assurance to the respective project stages. The second part of the volume systematically examines the methods of the reliability assurance in detail and presents one practical application example in each case.
The volume is intended for a broad range of users in the field of reliability assurance. It does not claim to be a textbook. For increased depth of the methods, detailed references to literature are given.
