This test sheet describes a method to identify the thread puller inclination of textiles, and is appropriate for laminated woven and knitted goods. Open designs and fabrics, which can-not be sewn together as a tube (e. g. carpets) - as described in section 8 - cannot be tested according to this standard.
Unless otherwise specified by the respective vehicle manufacturer, the test requirements described herein shall be applied to samples up to 6 mm lamination thickness. If bonding thickness is over 6 mm then it needs to be agreed between the parties and to be documented in the test report.
The parameters required to perform the VDA Mace Snag Test VDA 230-220 as specified below see fig. 1, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
