Infrared spectroscopic analysis is part of the identification of vulcanizates of elastomeric parts. This document defines a simplified test procedure, which focusses on special requirements concerning the sample preparation of elastomers and on testing devices in practice. Further applicable document for this VDA recommendation is DIN 51451:2004-09 or translation DIN 51451:2020-02. This VDA-recommendation partially complies with DIN 3761 part14 and its described modifications.
